NEW BREAKFAST PROGRAM AT IRMA SCHOOL GAINING LOTS OF SUPPORT
Students at Irma School are enjoying a new program at their school that provides students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with breakfast snacks every day.
Teacher Tara Gwinn says the new program is still a work in progress, but says it’s very popular.
“We have always provided students with a hot breakfast before provincial exams and finals.
“Teachers go in early and cook up a big breakfast.”
The opportunity to go bigger with the program came when the school was notified by Stacy Glover at Providence Grain Solutions that the school was allotted some funding from Providence Grain and G3 Canada’s Drive for 65 program, where every tonne of grain delivered to Providence meant $1, which G3 matched.
